Ritesh Hada

Ritesh Hada is an Indian entrepreneur and educationalist, serving as the Promoter & Managing Director of the United Group, which operates in the sectors of education, FMCG, hospitality, and textiles. Since 2017, he has also held the position of President at Karnavati University, a private university located in Gujarat, India.[1][2]

Early Life and Education

Ritesh Hada was born and raised in Kolkata, India. He completed his undergraduate studies at Bhawanipur Education Society College and later pursued postgraduate studies at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. In 2003, he relocated to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to further his career.[3][4]

Career

In 2004, Hada began his professional journey by becoming the President of the Karnavati Medical Education Trust, where he focused on developing educational institutions. His efforts led to the establishment of several educational institutes under the United Group, including the Karnavati School of Dentistry and the Unitedworld School of Business.[5]

In 2012, the United Group expanded its educational offerings with the creation of the United Institute of Design in Ahmedabad. The institute, affiliated with Gulbarga University, offers various design programs.[6][2]

Hada has played a significant role in the growth of Karnavati University, which gained the status of a private university in 2017.[7] The university now comprises multiple institutes offering programs in fields such as design, business, law, and healthcare.[8] His leadership has been marked by a focus on innovation, as seen in initiatives like the Defense Innovation Challenge in collaboration with DRDO and the establishment of Edumystic Global, an international education venture aimed at expanding globally.[9][10]

In addition to his work at Karnavati University, Hada has fostered international collaborations, such as the partnership between Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) and De Montfort University in the UK. This partnership facilitates student and faculty exchanges, enriching the design education experience.[11]

Personal Life

Ritesh Hada is married to Neeti Hada, and the couple has two children, Reyyansh Hada and Shree Hada. His family includes his brother, Nilesh Hada, who is involved in the education sector, and his sister, Priti Khaitan.[12]
