Roland Matthes

Roland Matthes (17 November 1950 – 20 December 2019) was a German swimmer. He won four European championships and three world championships. He won Olympic gold medals at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and at the World Aquatics Championships in 1973 and 1975.[1]

Matthes died on 20 December 2019 of a heart attack, aged 69.[2]
