Rolando Cubela Secades
Rolando Cubela Secades (1932 – 23 August 2022) was a Cuban revolutionary leader. He played an important part in the Cuban Revolution. He was a founding member of the Directorio Revolucionario Estudantil (DRE) and later the military leader of the DRE's Escambray Mountain front.

In 1966 Cubela was arrested for plotting the assassination of Fidel Castro and was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison. Afterwards, he went into exile to Spain, and became a doctor.[1]
Cubela Secades died on 23 August 2022 at the age of 90.[2]
