Kawasaki stabbings

The Kawasaki stabbings happened on the morning of 28 May 2019 in the Tama ward of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, four blocks west of Noborito Station.[3]

Two people were murdered,[4] and 17 others were injured after being stabbed at a city bus stop by 51-year-old Ryuichi Iwasaki. After carrying out the attack, he committed suicide by stabbing himself in the neck.[5]

The fatal victims were an 11-year-old student, and a 39-year-old Foreign Ministry employee.[6]
