The village is lying next to the Sajó river.
Connections
A minor road heading through Sajóvámos beetween Edelény and Felsőzsolca. There is another, even smaller road what connects the village with Road 26.
History
Sajóvámos was first mentiones in 1219 as villa Vamus. It was an important custom house in the XIV. century.
