Sakata Tōjūrō IV

He performed both male and female roles, and was renowned as both a skilled wagotoshi (actor of male roles in the wagoto tradition) and onnagata (actor of female roles). He was the fourth in the line of Sakata Tōjūrō.[2]

Tōjūrō died on 12 November 2020 at the age of 88.[3]
