Sakata Tōjūrō IV
Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 293: attempt to index local 'data_module' (a boolean value). (31 December 1931 – 12 November 2020) was a Japanese kabuki actor. Many of his works were in the Kamigata style.[1] He was honored as a Living National Treasure.
He performed both male and female roles, and was renowned as both a skilled wagotoshi (actor of male roles in the wagoto tradition) and onnagata (actor of female roles). He was the fourth in the line of Sakata Tōjūrō.[2]
Tōjūrō died on 12 November 2020 at the age of 88.[3]
