Sean Payton
Patrick Sean Payton (born December 29, 1963) is an American football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was also the head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 2006 until 2021. As coach of the Saints, he won the Super Bowl in 2010. On Feburary 3, 2023, Payton became the head coach of the Denver Broncos.[1]
During his playing career, Payton played for the Chicago Bruisers, Pittsburgh Gladiators, Ottawa Rough Riders, Chicago Bears and British team Leicester Panthers. He was born in San Mateo, California and grew up in Naperville, Illinois.
In March 2020, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, Payton tested positive to COVID-19.[2]
