Second inauguration of Andrew Jackson

The second inauguration of Andrew Jackson as the seventh president of the United States took place in the House chamber of the U.S. Capitol on Monday, March 4, 1833.

The inauguration was the beginning of the second term of Andrew Jackson as President and the only term of Martin Van Buren as Vice President.

Jackson was sworn in by Chief Justice John Marshall. This was the first inauguration for which two inaugural balls were held.[1]
