Sekhar Basu

Sekhar Basu (20 September 1952 – 24 September 2020) was an Indian nuclear scientist. He was born in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. From 2012 to 2016, he was Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Between 2015 to 2018, he was Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India.
Basu died of COVID-19 in Kolkata, West Bengal on 24 September 2020, four days after his 68th birthday.[1]
