Shalimar (Urdu: شالیمار) is an administrative town (tehsil) in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.[1][2] It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lahore, located along the Grand Trunk Road. The town is named after the Shalimar Gardens, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1640.[3]
