Shigesato Itoi (Japanese: 糸井重里 Itoi Shigesato, born November 10, 1948 in Gumna[1]) is a famous Japanese copywriter, essayist, and game designer. In his video game career, one of his most well-known works has been the EarthBound series, which began in 1989 with the release of EarthBound Beginnings and ended in 2006 with the release of Mother 3.
