Background and Profession
Shinoy was born in 1995 in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai. He pursued his Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA at the UC San Diego Rady School of Management.[2]
Shinoy founded SHINOYS, a personal finance website.[3] It was founded in 2009 [4][5] to help students understand personal finances. He is also the editor in chief of Cult of Money.[3]
Shinoy also serves as an advisor to Chipper, a student loan repayment app. He’s also an advisor at FinTech and EdTech startups.[3]
Since 2014, he has been a senior contributor at Forbes[6] covering the student loan crisis, FAFSA issues, and personal finance trends.[1] He has also written for MSN, Washington Post, ABC News, NBC News and other financial publications.[3][7][8]
