Solano County, California
Solano County is a county in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 453,491.[1] The county seat is Fairfield.[2] It is the northeastern county in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area region.
A portion of the South Campus at the University of California, Davis is in Solano County.
Solano County was created in 1850.

Solano County is named for Chief Francisco Solano of the Suisunes, a Patwin tribe of Wintun people.
