Mainstream support for Windows RT 8.1 ended on January 9, 2018. In 2021, [[Microsoft]] said it would stop providing security updates and support for Windows RT 8.1 after January 10, 2023 (EOL date).

Windows RT follows the lifecycle policy of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
