Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is a sports stadium in Naples, Italy. It is mainly used for football matches, but also has an athletics track. It has a seating capacity of 60,240. This makes it the third biggest stadium in the country. The stadium was built between 1948 and 1959. It opened on 6 December 1959. It is the home stadium of S.S.C. Napoli of Serie A and sometimes the Italy national team.
Stadio Diego Armando Maradona hosted five matches of the 1990 FIFA World Cup.[1]

Steel piles are driven into the ground in an ovular shape, used to support the weight of the planned large structure above. The foundation pit is being excavated between the piles, where underground facilities will be held. Construction had only recently begun in this photo.
