Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire is an action rail shooter video game. It was both published and developed by LucasArts. Factor 5 did developing for the PlayStation version.[1]

The game was released on November 24, 1995 for DOS and November 26, 1996 for the PlayStation. It was also released for Windows and Mac OS.[2]
The game's setting takes place after the Death Star is blown up. In the game, the player plays as a character called Rookie One. Rookie One gets a call from a ship about a new weapon the Galactic Empire are looking for to give to Darth Vader after the Death Star. The player gets shot down and lands on a planet with the ship that gave them the info. After learning the info about secret mines that the Empire built, the player goes and destroys it.
It is the sequel to the 1993 game Star Wars: Rebel Assault.
Reception
The game recieved mixed reviews by game critics. Some critics said that they liked the cinematography. However, critics also said they didn't like the controls of the game or the bad acting.[3] The PlayStation version recieved better reviews, with critics saying they liked the use of the movie's music and the improvement in the graphics. They also said the controls were bad.[4]
