Strahinja Pavlović

Strahinja Pavlović ( born 24 May 2001) is a Serbian footballer. He plays as centre-back for Austrian football club Red Bull Salzburg. He also plays in the Serbia national team.

Club career

Partizan

Pavlović started at the local club Savacium. In summer of 2015 he came in the youth system of Partizan. In September 2018 he signed his first professional contract.[1] He was promoted to the first team by manager Zoran Mirković ahead of winter preparations for the second half of the season.[2]

On 23 February 2019 he made his debut for the club in a 3–0 home league win over Proleter Novi Sad.[3] A week later, on March 2 of the same year, Pavlović played his first Eternal derby. At the time he was 17 years and 282 days old. In this year he made 15 matches and won the 2018–19 Serbian Cup.

In this year Pavlović signed a new five-year contract with Partizan.[4] He scored his first career goal in a 2–1 home league loss against Voždovac on 6 October.[5]

Monaco

On 18 December 2019 he went to AS Monaco.[6] Pavlović would remain on loan with Partizan until June 2020.[7] He debuted on 20 December 2020 versus Dijon.[8] On 21 January 2021 he went to Cercle Brugge on loan until the end of the season because he wanted matchtime.[9]

On 16 February 2022 Pavlović was loaned to Basel in Switzerland until the end of the season.[10]

Salzburg

In June 2022 Red Bull Salzburg announced the transfer of Pavlovic signing a contract till 2027.[11]

International career

Pavlović played in the U17 and U19 team of Serbia. He made his U21 debut on 6 September 2019 versus Russia.[12] He debut in the first team was on 3 September 2020 also against Russia.[13]

In 2022 he was called up to the Serbian squad for the World Cup. He made three appearances at the tournament. He also scored a goal in a 3-3 draw against Cameroon.
