Tansei

Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 293: attempt to index local 'data_module' (a boolean value)., also known as Tonsei, is the name of the second Japanese artificial satellite which was put into orbit.[1]

The launch was a project of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the University of Tokyo. The name of the satellite means "light blue", which is the school color of the University of Tokyo.[2]

The satellite was sent into orbit on February 16, 1971.[3]
