Target Corporation
Target Corporation is a company with a chain of discount department stores in the United States. George Dayton started the company in 1902. It is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Target has 1,956 stores[1] in the United States. They operated in Canada from 2013 to 2015. Target's main competitors are Amazon, Walmart, and formerly Kmart.
Target stores are more upscale and have higher quality products than other discount stores. Targets are also located in more cities and urban centers while Walmart stores are mainly in rural areas and suburbs.
