Template:ISO 639 name id is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code id, for example: {{Translated page |id |name of page at Indonesian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Indonesian Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Indonesian Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |id}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|id| some text in Indonesian}} wraps the text with <span lang="id"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code id to include articles in Category:Articles containing Indonesian-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Indonesian |id}}). Also available is {{Lang-id |some text in Indonesian}} which displays as Indonesian: some text in Indonesian.
- {{R from other language|id|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Indonesian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|id}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Indonesian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
