Usage
Template:ISO 639 name xh is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code xh, for example: {{Translated page |xh |name of page at Xhosa Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Xhosa Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Xhosa Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |xh}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|xh| some text in Xhosa}} wraps the text with <span lang="xh"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code xh to include articles in Category:Articles containing Xhosa-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Xhosa |xh}}). Also available is {{Lang-xh |some text in Xhosa}} which displays as Xhosa: some text in Xhosa .
- {{R from other language|xh|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Xhosa-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|xh}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Xhosa-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
