Template:Infobox television episode/validate values is used to handle the validation logic of the |series=, |prev=, |next=, |episode=, |season=, and |series_no= parameters of {{Infobox television episode}}.

Tracking categories
Pages that use {{Infobox television episode}} can be placed in a tracking category if one of the following conditions is met:
- Added to Category:Pages using infobox television episode with unlinked values:
- Use
|series=,|prev=or|next=with unlinked values. These values should be linked to either an article or a redirect.
- Use
- Added to Category:Pages using infobox television episode with incorrectly formatted values:
- Use
|series=,|prev=or|next=with bold or italics. These values should not be styled at all. - Use
|episode=,|season=or|series_no=with linked values or the word "overall". These values should not be linked and should only present the current season number order, not the overall one.
