The Equals
The Equals were a British pop, R&B and rock group. They were formed in North London, England in 1965. They are mainly remembered for their million-selling UK number 1, "Baby, Come Back". Eddy Grant founded the group. The group's members were Grant, John Hall, Pat Lloyd, and twin brothers Derv and Lincoln Gordon. Grant left the group in 1971. The Equals stopped performing in 1979.[1]
The Equals were one of the first racially united bands in the United Kingdom. Grant was born in Guyana, Hall and Lloyd were from London, and the Gordon brothers were born in Jamaica.[1]
