The Runaways were an American all-girl rock band. They were formed in Los Angeles in 1975 and split in 1979. They were not a major success in the United States but were popular in some other countries, like Japan.[1]

Their signature song was "Cherry Bomb".

Cherie Currie, Lita Ford, and Joan Jett were part of the group.
