Thomas A. Hendricks
Thomas Andrews Hendricks (September 7, 1819 – November 25, 1885)[1] was a U.S. representative and senator from Indiana, a governor of Indiana, and the 21st vice president of the United States (he served with President Grover Cleveland).

Hendricks died in his sleep at home in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 25, 1885.[2] After his death, Congress changed the order of succession for the presidency by removing the leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
