Thomas H. Haines

Thomas Henry Haines (born August 9, 1933) is an American author, biochemist and academic. He was a professor of Chemistry at City College of New York and of Biochemistry at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. He is a Visiting Professor [1] in the Laboratory of Thomas Sakmar[2] at Rockefeller University.

Haines was born in New York City. He studied at Rutgers University. From 1960 until 1985, he was married to Adrienne Rappaport. In 1986, he married Mary Cleveland. Haines' daughter, Avril Haines is the first woman to be Director of National Intelligence.
