Tom Benson

Thomas Milton Benson (July 12, 1927 – March 15, 2018) was an American businessman, philanthropist[2][3][4] and sports franchise owner. He was the owner of the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL) and New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA).[5]

As a sports team owner, Benson had a Super Bowl victory; with the Saints winning Super Bowl XLIV.

Benson died of complications from influenza on March 15, 2018 in Jefferson, Louisiana at the age of 90.[6]
