Toome
Toome (or Toomebridge) is a village in Northern Ireland, in the United Kingdom. It is 7 miles (11 km) from Magherafelt and 11 miles (18 km) from Antrim. It is close to the River Bann.

Population facts
On 29 April 2001 the United Kingdom government had a census and saw that there were 722 people living in Toome. They also saw that:
- 27.2% of the people were under 16 years old and 10.9% were over 60 years old
- 48.8% of the people were male and 51.3% were female
- 96.3% of the people were from a Roman Catholic background and 2.9% were from a Protestant background
- 6.2% of people aged 16–74 had no job.[1]
