Toots Hibbert
Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert, O.J. (8 December 1942 – 11 September 2020) was a Jamaican singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was known as the leader for the reggae and ska band Toots & the Maytals. His 1968 song "Do the Reggay" is a well known raggae song.[1] He was born in May Pen, Colony of Jamaica.
In August 2020, Hibbert was hospitalized with COVID-19 and put in a coma in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica.[2][3] He died on 11 September 2020 from the infection, aged 77.[4]
