Triclabendazole, sold with the name Egaten or Fasinex, is a medicine for treating fascioliasis and paragonimiasis, which are parasitic infections.[1] It is good at treating both diseases. It is taken by mouth. Usually, one or two doses are needed.[1]

There usually are not any side effects from taking triclabendazole. However, people taking triclabendazole can have headaches and abdominal pain. No danger has been found for using triclabendazole while pregnant, but it has not been studied well.[2]

The United States let people start using triclabendazole in 2019. It is also used for animals.[3]
