United Press International
United Press International (UPI) is an American international news agency. Its newswires, photo, news film, and audio services have given news material to thousands of newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations for most of the 20th century. Since cutbacks in 1982 and the sale of its broadcast client list to the Associated Press in 1999, UPI has concentrated on smaller markets.
