United States Army Rangers
The United States Army Rangers are designated U.S. Army Ranger units, past or present, or are graduates of the U.S. Army Ranger School.[1] The term ranger has been in use unofficially as a military term since the early 17th century.

Colonel Benjamin Church (1639–1718), father of American Ranging and Rangers. He is in the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame and has a bronze Ranger Tab affixed to his gravestone.
