My Pageviews template

Hi Djsasso. My "Pageviews" template on my user talk page doesn't display correctly, like all of the other pageviews templates. What could be the cause? --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 03:10, 14 January 2021 (UTC)

Not working how? Appears to have stats to me. -Djsasso (talk) 12:27, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
It display the stats differently than those on ImprovedWikiImprovment's talkpage. --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 21:55, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
Looks the same to me. -Djsasso (talk) 19:41, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Which web browser are you using? I can give (email) you a screenshot if you need it. (But I don't have your direct email, so I don't know how to send a screenshot via mediawiki email system) --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 01:07, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Why did you remove red links and red link templates?

I noticed that you removed red links and red links templates from articles such as qualia and dissociation (psychology). According to WP:RL, they help Wikipedia grow. The consensus on the talk page agreed that they should be kept. So, why did you remove them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paradox Marvin (talkcontribs)

The tags I removed because the articles did not have too many red links. The only red links I removed were in the related pages sections, if the page doesn't exist yet then you shouldn't be putting it in the related pages section. In article text we definitely keep red links. But the purpose of the related pages section is to point you to other existing pages that are related. -Djsasso (talk) 22:48, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Oh okay I see, that makes sense. Thanks! Paradox Marvin (talk) 15:07, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

Climate of New Mexico

Hey please don't restrict the page of Climate of New Mexico back to New Mexico. I add that page for a more descriptive understanding of how the climate is in New Mexico. Fleestarkotz (talk) 02:04, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Fleestarkotz: Your changes were very complex and I have reverted them. I'll remind you that this is the Simple English Wikipedia. --IWI (talk) 02:47, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

Huggle

  • Do I need rollback for it to work here? --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 21:55, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
    @つがる I don't think so, anyway you are a rollbacker so it's sort of moot? CM-Public (talk) 21:56, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
@つがる: I can verify this, as I sometimes use this - no, you don't need rollback to use Huggle, you only need rollback on enwiki. --Belwine💬📜 21:58, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
CM-Public If I can find mass rollback with Twinkle, then I don't need rollback anymore, but there isn't. So hence I have rollback. --Tsugaru Let's Talk! :) 🍁 21:59, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Archives

Thanks for the assist on this. It still is not archiving as I wanted. I have it set to 3 days since the last comment so my talk page should be pretty blank. Can you double-check that for me, please?--PotsdamLamb (talk) 16:59, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @PotsdamLamb: Could it be because of the minthreadsleft parameter? If you don't specify a value, it will leave at least 5 threads, no matter how old they are. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:08, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@Auntof6: I checked and it’s set to 1. It’s not important really I just like to keep the threads to a minimum. PotsdamLamb (talk) 08:05, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
@PotsdamLamb:No, minthreadstoarchive is set to 1. That's a different parameter. --Auntof6 (talk) 11:17, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
This is likely the issue, I set it on your page to 0 so no threads will be left if they are older than 3 days. You can up that number to however many you would like left at a minimum. -Djsasso (talk) 13:09, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Talk page archive

Hi, could you please help me. You bot Sassobot is not archiving my posts for more than 3 days on my talk page. Could you please resolve this issue? Also please check my code of archive..DJRC (talk) 08:29, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @TTP1233: Your code seems to be okay. It might be that there was no new line between {{bots|allow=SassoBot}} and the archive configuration, but I wouldn't think that would be the issue. —Belwine💬📜 08:32, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Maybe...but let's see.DJRC (talk) 08:34, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) @TTP1233: It used to be that the archiving code had to be the first thing on the page, but I'm not sure if that's true now. Also, see my note above about the minthreadsleft parameter. You haven't specified a value for that, so the bot will always leave at least 5 threads on the page. --Auntof6 (talk) 11:30, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Yep this is the issue for you as well. I have set it to zero for you but you can set it higher if you like. -Djsasso (talk) 13:12, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks Djsasso! PotsdamLamb (talk) 16:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Hey on second thought, it was set to one (just as yours is) so why was it not taken? PotsdamLamb (talk) 18:14, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
As mentioned above by Auntof6 you have a different setting set to 1. Not minthreadsleft. -Djsasso (talk) 18:16, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Oh, I see I mixed it up with minthreadstoarchive. Thanks again. PotsdamLamb (talk) 18:29, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Template:Usage of IPA template

Hi, I've seen that you reverted my edit in "Template:Usage of IPA templates". My edit was correct: the word "io" ("I") is written without accent in Italian (adding an accent in that template doesn't change the result in IPA, anyway), and the /i/ is a long vowel so the symbol [ː] has to be added (it's the same as the stressed /o/ in "sono" and /a/ in "Americano"). Please restore my correction, as that line is currently wrong. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.52.236.115 (talkcontribs)

Template

Hey DJSasso - a couple questions for you. Does SEWP not use recently deceased template? I saw you removed it from an article I put it on earlier today. Secondly, what is the reasoning behind articles like list of nbc shows, list of HBO shows, etc.? Thanks PotsdamLamb (talk) 06:10, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

The purpose of the recently deceased template is to prevent edit conflicts from the rapid editing of the article because someone just passed away and so there is high interest in editing a given article. That is rarely the case here, it can be used here, but unless its a very well known figure it is not likely to serve any purpose and will just get forgotten on the page. List are articles just like any other, if its a notable topic which a list of shows on a major network would be then they get an article. List also serve an additional purpose in being a single location where you get to multiple related articles. -Djsasso (talk) 18:03, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
Got it! Thanks! PotsdamLamb (talk) 04:08, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Strike Outs

Thank you for striking out their multiple votes! Why was their first one at the top not stricken? Thanks PotsdamLamb (talk) 07:37, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @PotsdamLamb: Because they are allowed to vote once. --IWI (talk) 09:14, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Because they get one vote, they just don't get multiple. -Djsasso (talk) 11:55, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
@Djsasso, ImprovedWikiImprovement: Not according to 5.6 on the RfD page "Suggestions by users using "sock puppets" (more than one account belonging to the same person) and IP addresses will not be counted." PotsdamLamb (talk) 14:48, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Yes and as I replied to you in the Rfd. You are reading that sentence wrong. The point of that line is that if you use multiple accounts or IPs to vote they won't count. Not that all IP votes don't count. -Djsasso (talk) 14:51, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
I should probably point out Rfd isn't actually a vote anyways, theoretically there could be zero keep votes and the article could be kept if all the delete votes were not based on policy. Not likely to happen but I want to point out admins will handle this sort of thing usually when they close the discussion but sometimes will with strike them out during the discussion. I think you are a bit too wrapped up in what happens with the Rfd and maybe need to step back a bit and let it play out. -Djsasso (talk) 15:03, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
I didn't mean to imply. It is not just this RfD I have seen it on others as well. I do not remember seeing your statement on that as the IP user deleted a lot of things and faked being other people so I gave up after the restore. I will back off. PotsdamLamb (talk) 15:34, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

You've got mail!

Hello, Djsasso. Check your email – you've got mail!
Message added 16:26, 25 February 2021 (UTC). You can take off this notice at any time by getting rid of the {{You've got mail}} or {{YGM}} template.

Apologies if YGM counts as talkback for you. —Belwine (talk) 16:26, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

I would just use the template. It is quicker and brings less attention to whatever it is. -Djsasso (talk) 16:42, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Rfd IP at it again

Hey Djsasso - the ip user is back with a wall of text again stating the same stuff as in all of their other suggestions. Have a great night! PotsdamLamb (talk) 03:18, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
