Playing career
In 2001, Vagner joined Japanese J2 League club Ventforet Kofu, which had finished bottom two years in a row – in 1999 and 2000. He debuted in J2 against Shonan Bellmare on March 17.[1][2] He could only play three matches, and left Ventforet in June.[3]
