Vanita Gupta
Vanita Gupta (born November 15, 1974)[1] is an American attorney and civil rights leader. She was the 19th United States associate attorney general from 2021 to 2024.[2] She was also the assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division under the Obama administration from 2014 to 2017.[3]

Gupta served as deputy legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union, and Assistant Counsel at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.[4][5]
Gupta served as president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights from 2017 until 2021.[6][7]
