Vindhyas

The Vindhyas is a mountain range in west-central India. According to hindu traditions, The vindhya range is the place where Goddess Durga lives.
The highest point of the Vindhyas is the Sad-bhawna Shikhar ("Goodwill Peak").

The Vindhyas are seen as the southern boundary of Aryavarta in this map. Note that historically, the term "Vindhyas" covered the Satpura range that lies to the south of Narmada.
