History

WTC Group, originally named Western Transloading Corp., was founded by Brian Atkins in 2005.[5] The company initially focused on loading agricultural products into shipping containers.[6] Over time, WTC expanded its services under the leadership of Brian Atkins, the president, and his son, Jordan Atkins, the vice president.[7][8][9][10][11]

In 2002, WTC opened Lindsey Terminal in Delta to support Canadian agricultural shippers.[12] In 2020, the company rebranded as WTC Group and acquired Kingsway Terminal in Port Coquitlam, in partnership with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) in 2021. WTC Group started using biodiesel early on for their trucking fleet in Vancouver and utilizes rail transport to help lower road congestion and emissions.[13] They also participate in Operation Clean Sweep, a program focused on reducing plastic pollution in the supply chain.
