Walt Michaels

Walter Edward Michaels (October 16, 1929 – July 10, 2019) was a professional American football player and coach. He was best known for his six-year career as head coach of the NFL's New York Jets from 1977 to 1982.[1] As a player, he played for the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. Michaels was born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania.

Michaels died on July 10, 2019 in Plains, Pennsylvania at the age of 89.[2]
