Waqar Ahmed Seth (16 March 1961 – 12 November 2020) was a Pakistani politician and lawyer. He was the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court from 28 June 2018 until his death.[1] On 2 August 2011, he became a Justice Peshawar High Court.
He was in charge over the special court which heard the high treason case against Pervez Musharraf and one of the two judges on a three judge panel who convicted Musharraf of this crime and sentenced him to death.[2] This was the first time in Pakistan's history that a military dictator was convicted of high treason.[3]
Seth died on 12 November 2020 in Islamabad from COVID-19, aged 69.[4]
