The West Frisian Islands (Dutch: Waddeneilanden, West Frisian: Waadeilannen) art of the Frisian Islands. They are in the North Sea in the northern part of the Netherlands.

They are the following:

3. Various sandbars:

The majority of the islands and sandbars are in the province of Friesland.
Exceptions are:

  • Noorderhaaks and Texel lie in the province of North Holland (most western islands).
  • Simonszand, Rottumerplaat, Rottumeroog and Zuiderduintjes lie in the province of Groningen (most eastern islands).
