William Izarra
William Ernesto Izarra Caldera (7 May 1947 – 1 October 2021) was a Venezuelan diplomat, academic, writer, military official, and politician. He also worked as a professor for the Central University of Venezuela.[1] He was a Senator between 1998 until 1999. He was also the Ambassador to North Korea from May 2021 until his death. Izarra was a member of the United Socialist Party. He was born in Maracay, Venezuela.
Izarra died on 1 October 2021 at a hospital in Caracas, Venezuela from COVID-19 at the age of 74.[2]
