Willy Kuijpers

Willy Kuijpers (1 January 1937 – 17 November 2020) was a Belgian politician. He was born in Leuven, Belgium. He was a member of the People's Union Party and the New Flemish Alliance.

Kuijpers was a member of the Chamber of Representatives from 1971 to 1984. He also was a MEP from 1984 to 1989. He was a Senator from 1989 to 1995. From 1995 to 2012, he was Mayor of Herent.

Kuijpers died on 17 November 2020 at a hospital in Leuven from COVID-19 at the age of 83.
