Yehezkel Braun (Hebrew: יחזקאל בראון; January 18, 1922 – August 27, 2014) was a German-born Israeli composer. [1] Braun was Professor Emeritus at Tel Aviv University.
Braun was born in Breslau, Germany (now Wroclaw, Poland). He moved to Mandate Palestine when he was two years old. Braun studied at the Israel Academy of Music. He received a Master's degree in Classical Studies from Tel Aviv University. In 2001, Braun was awarded the Israel Prize for music.[2][3]
Braun died in Tel Aviv on August 27, 2014. He was 92.[4]
