Yisrael Friedman, also known as Pashkaner Rebbe[1] (November 8, 1923 – May 1, 2017) was a Israel rabbi and educator. He was born in Buhuși, Romania. He was a former lecturer at the Tel Aviv University and the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the rosh yeshiva of a hesder yeshiva in Netivot.
Friedman died on May 1, 2017 at a medical center in Tel Aviv, Israel, aged 93.[2]
