Playing career
Okamura was born in Nagasaki Prefecture on March 21, 1977.[1] He graduated from Kansai University. He joined J1 League club Gamba Osaka in 1999. On May 24, 2000, he started as a midfielder against Consadole Sapporo in J.League Cup.[1][2] However he did not play much until 2001. In 2002, he moved to Sagawa Express Osaka, who were recently promoted to Japan Football League. He played many matches over the next three seasons. He retired at the end of the 2004 season.
