Succession

Succession may mean:

• Order of succession, the chronology of past leaders; or the plan for how a future leader takes over from another because of death, resignation, or removal
• Succession planning, identifying and developing people to take over senior positions in government, business, organizations, etc.
• Ecological succession, the development of changes that happen over time after an ecology is disturbed
