ASEAN Declaration
The ASEAN Declaration or Bangkok Declaration is the first document of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. It was signed in Bangkok on 8 August 1967 by the first five ASEAN members, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.[1]ASEAN Declaration laid the foundation for regional cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields. The date is now celebrated as ASEAN Day.[2]
