Abu Ayyub al-Masri

Abu Ayyub al-Masri (Father of Ayyub the Egyptian) was the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq after the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in June of 2006.[2][3] He was the minister of war for the Islamic State of Iraq from 2006-2010 and the prime minister from 2009-2010.[4] He was killed in a surprise attack by US and Iraqi forces on the 18th of April 2010.[5][6][7]
