Ajax the Great or Aias (Ancient Greek: Αἴαςcode: grc is deprecated ) son of Telamon,^[1] was a hero from the Trojan War. He was a cousin of Achilles. Ajax died by suicide. This happened after Achilles died and Ajax was in a contest with Odysseus to see who would receive Achilles's armour. Ajax lost the contest.^[1]
