Amīr Aṣlān Afshār
Amīr Aṣlān Afshār (Persian: امیراصلان افشار; 22 November 1919[1] – 18 February 2021) was an Iranian politician. He was the Ambassador of Iran to West Germany from 1973 to 1977, Ambassador of Iran to the United States from 1969 to 1972 and as the Ambassador of Iran to Austria from 1967 to 1969.[2]

From 1956 to 1960, he was a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Afshār died from COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in France in Nice, France at aged 101.[2]
